Final Fantasy 16’s ESRB rating proves to be its most mature yet

Final Fantasy 16The ESRB rating has been revealed and it looks like the game will be incredibly mature for the other entries in the franchise. The long-running Final Fantasy series has never had a problem tackling huge themes or taking its stories seriously, but it’s largely culminated in a T for Teen rating, making it a fairly accessible franchise for most ages. There are a couple of casual games that are rated M for Mature, though they aren’t overly violent or adult content. But, Final Fantasy 16 It looks pretty scandalous, which might come as a surprise to longtime fans.

Marketing for Final Fantasy 16 She indicated that it would be a very mature game and the developers had noted that there was intent behind it, but many were wondering how far it would go. ESRB rating for Final Fantasy 16 She confirmed that the game would be rated M for Mature in the US, meaning anyone under 17 could not purchase it without a guardian present. The game is rated M for blood and gore, partial nudity, sexual themes, strong language, and violence. The actual rating description delves deeper into the moments in the game that led to this rating. Namely, the extremely violent combat, cutscenes depicting throat-slitting, torture by rolling a blade inside someone’s shoulder, and other brutal deaths. There is also sexual moaning, prostitution, and characters with partially exposed chests and buttocks. There are also swears, including the words “f**k” and “s**t”.

Needless to say, it looks like Final Fantasy 16 He spared no expense to make sure he would feel different from the rest. It’s also the first major title to earn this rating, which should make it feel very special. Whether or not this will mean anything for the quality of the game remains to be seen, but it sure looks like one of the better games on the horizon.
